Oriol Romeu agree to terminate his contract with Barcelona

Oriol Romeu is one step away from definitively leaving Barcelona. Club and player have practically reached an agreement for the termination of the midfielder’s contract and only a few small details are missing to close the negotiation. The signing of the termination will take place shortly. It will most likely be this Thursday.

The proof that the agreement is practically done is that Romeu did not train this Wednesday with the rest of his teammates. Therefore, his departure is imminent. The agreement that the two parties are about to reach is so that the player is free and can choose his destination. He had only one season left of commitment.

Romeu’s termination will allow Barcelona to have enough ‘Fair Play’ to register Gerard Martín. At first the club wanted to register Szczesny, but for this it was not enough what Romeu’s departure generated and they needed to reach an agreement with Iñaki Peña.

Therefore, the club will proceed to register Gerard Martín so that he can be available to Flick in this Saturday’s match against Levante.
