Willian agrees a 1 year deal with Gremio

Willian has agreed a one-year deal with Gremio after leaving Fulham on the end of his contract this summer.
The former Chelsea forward is travelling to Brazil today (Thursday) for a medical after having received interest from various clubs in his home country, the Middle East and MLS.
Willian, 36, rejoined Fulham following the conclusion of the January transfer window, just six months after initially leaving Craven Cottage. He was signed as a free agent on a deal until the end of the season, following his departure from Olympiacos at the end of December.
Willian initially joined Fulham in 2022, also as a free agent, after leaving Brazilian side Corinthians. The move marked his return to the Premier League, after a seven-year spell at Chelsea in which he made 339 appearances, and a season-long stay at Arsenal.
The winger signed a one-year contract extension with Fulham in 2023 despite being offered a two-year deal by Nottingham Forest, as reported by The Athletic at the time.
Overall, Willian played 79 times for Fulham, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.
