Benjamin Pavard joins Marseille on loan

Olympique Marseille have finalised the signing of French defender Benjamin Pavard from Inter Milan on a loan deal with an option to buy, with the 29-year-old signing a contract until June 2029 (one-year loan plus a three-year extension).

Pavard, who completed his medical on September 1, 2025, joins Marseille for a €2.5 million loan fee and a €15 million buy option, with his salary fully covered.

The World Cup 2018 champion, who scored against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, returns to Ligue 1 after stints at Lille, Stuttgart, Bayern, and Inter, strengthening Marseille’s defence under Roberto De Zerbi.
