Nicolas Jackson set to join Bayern Munich as Blues agree improved loan-to-buy deal

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea on an improved loan-to-buy deal. The two clubs are working on the finer details, Standard Sport understands, which will see Bayern pay a £14.3million loan fee, with a conditional obligation to buy for £56.3m. Talks progressed on Deadline Day, with Jackson still in Munich after flying from London to undergo a medical on Saturday. Bayern had agreed to a £13m loan fee, plus an option to buy, only to see Chelsea cancel the deal following an injury to Liam Delap which left Joao Pedro as the club’s only fit striker. Jackson had only just landed in Munich ahead of his medical when he was told he must return to London, but his agents dug their heels in and a deal has now been resurrected. Chelsea have instead recalled Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland. Earlier on deadline day, Jackson’s agent Ali Barat said in a statement: “Nico was ready. Bayern was ready. We were all aligned on a world-class project. For the agreement to be withdrawn at the final moment is deeply frustrating. But we won’t give up. “I will fight with everything I have to make sure Nico’s next step reflects his talent, ambition, and the plan we built together. We hope that Chelsea can cover Liam Delap’s unfortunate injury.” Source: standarduk

Victor Boniface sign with Werder Bremen on loan

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Werder Bremen has strengthened their team with a top player in Victor Boniface from the Bundesliga. As ‘Sky’ and ‘Fabrizio Romano’ just confirmed, the Hanseatic League is borrowing Victor Boniface from Bayer 04 Leverkusen until 2026. The attacker scored 22 goals and made 11 assists in 42 Bundesliga games for the Werkself. Yep, this sounds like a real transfer coup for Werder. Boniface is supposed to stay for one year initially. There doesn’t seem to be an option to buy, which would be utopian considering his market value of 40 million Euros. Last winter, Al-Nassr had offered 70 million Euros for him, but ultimately chose Jhon Durán. At Bayer Leverkusen, the 24-year-old lost his regular place and had to deal with injuries time and again. Due to problems with his knee, his move to AC Milan also fell through. There, he didn’t pass the medical check. Things are different at Werder Bremen. Here, he is said to have already completed the examination. The Green-Whites are desperately looking for a striker who poses a threat to the goal. If Boniface stays fit, they have now impressively succeeded. Source: Yahoosports

Man City reach full agreement to sign Gigio Donnarumma

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Manchester City have moved quickly to replace Ederson, who is heading to Fenerbahce. The former Premier League champions have reportedly sealed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian goalkeeper has agreed to join on a long-term contract, ending his difficult spell in France. Ederson leaves after eight successful years at the Etihad. He won six league titles, a Champions League crown, and became one of Pep Guardiola’s most trusted players. His departure to Turkey for around €14m opened the door for City to make their next big move. And they have not wasted any time. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on social media. “EXCLUSIVE: Gigio Donnarumma to Manchester City, HERE WE GO! Deal done for the Italian GK to join Man City project from Paris Saint-Germain. Medical this afternoon.” He added that the agreement between the clubs had been in place for weeks, with only final details waiting to be signed off. Donnarumma could make his first appearance in a Manchester derby. The game against United comes right after the September international break at the Etihad. If all paperwork and registration are completed in time, fans may see him in goal for one of the season’s biggest clashes. The 26-year-old joins with major experience, having won Euro 2020 with Italy and played more than 160 times for PSG. Yet his time in Paris was often unsettled, with manager Luis Enrique recently leaving him out of key squads. Now, Donnarumma has the chance to take over at a club where the No.1 role carries huge responsibility. City supporters will be eager to see if “Gigio” can fill Ederson’s gloves. One thing is certain — the goalkeeping drama at the Etihad has ensured deadline day is anything but quiet. Source: Fabrizio Romano

Galatasaray close in on transfer agreement Ilkay Gundogan

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Manchester City are expected to green light an exit for Ilkay Gundogan this summer, should the midfielder reach an agreement with Galatasaray. The former German international has been at the centre of widespread transfer speculation over recent weeks, with multiple outlets across Europe reporting on potential destinations. Initial suggestions pointed towards the Bundesliga and Serie A as possible landing spots, with confirmed interest from Saudi Arabia, MLS, and Turkey. At one stage, reports from Germany described Gundogan’s chances of leaving as “50/50”, while others insisted he remained “one to watch” before the window closes. For Galatasaray, the pursuit of Gundogan has been consistent throughout the summer, with the Turkish champions repeatedly named as suitors alongside their wider ambitions to sign Manchester City players including Ederson and Manuel Akanji. While suggestions of a package deal for all three appeared optimistic and are now firmly over given the former’s switch to Fenerbahce and the defender’s expected move to Inter on an initial loan deal, the Istanbul club’s persistence over Gundogan is now close to paying off. From Manchester City’s perspective, sanctioning Gundogan’s departure would be a significant but not unexpected decision. The 34-year-old automatically signed a one-year extension earlier this summer through a pre-determined number of required appearances. New arrivals such as Tijjani Reijnders this summer and Nico Gonzalez during the January market are already being lined up to shoulder greater responsibility for Manchester City moving forward. And now, according to the information of Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Galatasaray have offered Ilkay Gundogan an annual salary of €5 million, with an agreement now ‘very close’ between player and club. It is further revealed that the moment an agreement is reached with the German midfielder, officials at Manchester City will allow his transfer and bring an end to their 12-month reunion following Gundogan’s return from FC Barcelona last summer. Should the deal be finalised, City supporters will be saying farewell once again to one of their modern legends. Gundogan, who captained the side during their historic 2022/23 treble-winning season, delivered countless decisive moments across his two Etihad Stadium spells and leaves with his legacy firmly secured. The move would also strengthen Galatasaray significantly, providing them with a proven UEFA Champions League-level midfielder who has succeeded in the Bundesliga, La Liga, and the Premier League. For Gundogan, the switch would represent both a new challenge and a return closer to his roots. With just days remaining before the window closes in Turkey, City now appear to be bracing themselves for one more high-profile exit. Source: yahoosports

Marc Guehi set for Liverpool medical after Crystal Palace accept £35m bid

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign England centre-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. The 25-year-old will complete the formalities of his move, including a medical, in London on Monday before signing a long-term contract with the Premier League champions. The deal was agreed after the clubs reached a compromise on the fee for Guehi, with Liverpool having originally tabled an offer of £35m, plus a 10 percent sell-on clause. He is set to be Liverpool’s second major signing on transfer deadline day, after the Reds agreed a £125m deal with Newcastle for striker Alexander Isak. Guehi captained Palace to a 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday night in the last of his 162 games for the London club, scoring a spectacular second goal. Speaking after the match he did not discuss his future. “All I know is when you score goals like that it is always down to team performance,” he said. “People will try to single out the goal but that was a clear team performance tonight.” Guehi has been a key target for Liverpool this summer after Jarrell Quansah left Anfield for Bayer Leverkusen. There have also been concerns about the solidity of Liverpool’s defence after they conceded six goals in their first three games of the season. They lost the Community Shield on penalties to Palace – who Guehi captained at Wembley – and gave up two-goal leads in the Premier League to Bournemouth and Newcastle before fighting back to win. After also bringing in Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Giovanni Leoni, the Guehi deal will take Liverpool’s spending to about £451.2m without add-on fees – the highest total in Premier League history. Tottenham to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain, sources have told ESPN. The 26-year-old is now expected to travel to London to undergo a medical and complete his move before Monday’s deadline. Sources say the agreement contains no option or obligation to make the switch permanent. Kolo Muani’s arrival would provide competition for Richarlison and Dominic Solanke in the centre-forward position while the France international can also play out wide. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus and was in talks over a permanent move to Italy but those negotiations collapsed over the weekend, creating an opportunity for Spurs to pounce. Kolo Muani cost PSG €90 million when signing from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 but has made just 51 appearances for the European champions. He scored 10 goals in 19 appearances for Juventus last term and would become Spurs’ fifth new signing this summer after Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, João Palhinha and Kota Takai. Source: ESPN

Manchester United agree £18.2m deal to sign Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Manchester United have agreed a deal in the region of £18.2m to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, the 23-year-old will sign a five-year deal at the club and is on the way to Manchester to finalise his move. United looked at other options, including Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, but after much deliberation and negotiation, it was decided Lammens is the right choice for the club moving forward. As it stands, United are expected to move forward with four goalkeepers, adding Lammens to their current group of Altay Bayindir, Andre Onana and Tom Heaton. However, the windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia are open until September 11 and 10, respectively. It is understood that if a suitable offer were to come in for their other ‘keepers, it would be considered. Head coach Ruben Amorim had previously said he was happy with his goalkeeping department, despite several high-profile errors from Onana and Bayindir across the early stages of the season. Real Betis Sign Antony for €25 Million with 50% sell on clause

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Real Betis have agreed a €25 million package with Manchester United for the permanent transfer of Antony, a deal that includes a 50% sell-on clause for the Premier League side. As reported by The Athletic, United and Betis had already settled on a fee in principle earlier this summer. Negotiations dragged, however, as both clubs wrestled with the financial implications of Antony’s salary reduction. A compromise has now been reached, with United confirming they will make no further payments to the player as part of the exit. The final package is worth €25m (£21.6m), with up to €3m (£2.6m) in potential add-ons. Newcastle set to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford for £55m

Published on September 1, 2025 by master

Yoane Wissa is set to sign for Newcastle after a £55m deal was agreed with Brentford; Newcastle had multiple offers rejected for Wissa this summer. The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with Newcastle and is set for a medical on Monday afternoon. Brentford were reportedly unwilling to part ways with Wissa, who recently issued a statement on his official Instagram account claiming the Bees are ‘unduly standing’ in his way ‘despite a series of fair offers throughout the summer.’ Wissa marks to be Brentford’s second significant departure this transfer window after Bryan Mbeumo made the move to Manchester United for a reported initial £65m. With the official announcement from either club and/or expected soon, Wissa is set to take his leave from Brentford after recording 49 goals and 13 assists in 149 games over four years.
